This Seller Contents Guidelines of Online Shop (the “Seller Contents Guidelines” hereafter) is intended to help artists in preparing contents for the purpose of presenting themselves as artists and the artworks they list for sale (the “Seller contents”) for Climanosco’s Online Shop available on the Internet at the address shop.climanosco.org (the “Online Shop” thereafter). Artist page
The Online Shop offers to each artist a public page dedicated to introducing her/him as an artist to the visitors. This page acts as a main entry point leading visitors to the artworks listed for sale by the artist. The page consists of several areas and types of contents that are described below and that must be provided – and regularly updated – by the artist.
- Artist public or stage name
- Artist picture: 300dpi, width 2500 pixels, height max. 2500 pixels, PNG or JPG
- Artist video (optional): max. 10 sec, 300dpi, 800 pixels x 800 pixels, MPEG or GIF
- Artist personal statement or short bio (max. 100 words): The statement should start with the artist name, which we will display in bold face, and should be written with the third person (“she”/”he”).
- Artist climate engagement statement (max. 100 words): The statement can be written with the first person (“I”).
Artwork page
Each artwork is presented on an individual page that can be accessed from the corresponding artist page or from the “All items” page on the Online Shop. The artwork page must offer comprehensive and truthful information on the artwork on sale. Images must be representative of the true colors, shapes, sizes and shipment contents (such as accessories, frame, etc).
Each artwork must be certified by the artist either through the artist’s signature on the artwork or by a separate certificate signed by the artist.
The artwork price may include packaging costs, but may not include shipping or transit insurance costs. The artwork price may also depend on attributes if any.
An artwork may come with one or more attributes. Each attribute offers several choices to the customer. For instance, an artist may sell a fine print either framed or not (first attribute), and in different sizes (second attribute). The attributes may lead to different product prices. It should be noted that the more choices an artist offers, the more expensive it might be for the artist to maintain stocks. Each attribute must have an attribute name and a number of options that can be easily understood by the visitor. Climanosco might adjust these attributes and options names to allow some level of uniformity across the Online Shop.
The shipping prices must give an accurate account of the price of shipping the artwork with appropriate transit insurance from the artist location to customers in various countries. The artist is recommended to obtain accurate prices for each artwork from a mail service provider for various international zones. Although not recommended, the artist may restrict countries for the shipping of an artwork. Restricted countries, if any, must be indicated in the shipping prices list.
The artist must provide for each artwork to be listed on the Online Shop the following information:
- Artwork title
- Artwork short title (max. 5 words)
- Year of creation
- Artwork description (optional, max. 100 words): The artist’s own words to introduce the artwork.
- Artwork price(s) and attributes: The artwork’s price, including packaging, but not including shipping and transit insurance. If the artwork comes with attributes, a list of choices and corresponding artwork prices must be provided for each attribute.
- Artwork information: Include size(s), medium, attribute(s), frame, limited edition’s total number, certification, and any other relevant information.
- Shipping price(s) and countries: List of countries, or areas of the world, the artwork may be shipped to and the corresponding shipping price(s) including shipment and transit insurance from the artist’s location.
- Artwork picture: 300dpi, width 2500 pixels, height max. 2500 pixels, PNG or JPG.
- Artwork audio file (optional): For non-audio artworks, this can be used to add a short podcast by the artist. For audio artworks, this can be used to provide a sample of the artwork.
Communicating Seller contents for the Online Shop
