For artworks that necessitate a special treatment, we recommend that you seek advice from a professional. Packaging of artworks

Mailing tube

  • Mailing tubes may be used for prints and some paintings that do not suffer from being rolled up.
  • Use a mailing tube that is large and thick enough to ensure that the artwork is not rolled too tightly, which could damage the paint, has enough space on the sides to not be dented by the caps, and that the tube can not be folded during transit.
  • Protect the artwork with a sheet of soft, acid-free paper which is large enough to cover the artwork entirely. Don’t use tape.
  • Roll the artwork with the protective paper and insert it carefully in the mailing tube.
  • Make sure that the print is safely located inside the tube, close the ends, and secure them with tape.

Reinforced envelope

  • Reinforced envelopes may be used for prints, paintings or other flat objects.
  • Wrap the artwork in soft, acid-free paper, and protect it with cardboard such that all corners are well protected.
  • Wrap the piece in a thick layer of bubble wrap.
  • Create an outer protective shell with two corrugated cardboards around the artwork that you securely tape together on all four sides.
  • Make sure that the artwork is well protected and that the package is completely closed.

Cardboard box

  • Cardboard boxes may be used for paintings, framed works, or other artworks.
  • Find or build a box that gives the artwork 3-5 cm of space on all sides.
  • Protect the artwork with enough layers of soft, acid-free paper.
  • Wrap the piece in two or more layers of thick bubble wrap and secure with tape.
  • Add more layers of bubble wrap on corners and edges as needed.
  • Add layers of foam around the piece and additional filling as needed to ensure that the artwork can not move in the box during transit.
  • Close and secure the cardboard box with tape and make sure all edges are taped.

Packaging of other products

Products other than artworks may be packaged using regular tubes, envelopes, bubbled envelopes or cardboard boxes.

Delivery

Shipping of Artworks will be completed within 7 days of reception of the order by the Seller.
